The rule
Personal accounts created after 13 November 2023 cannot use Production or Pre-registration until they meet the testing requirement: a closed test with at least 12 testers opted in continuously for the preceding 14 days. Then you apply for production access on the Dashboard and answer questions about the app, the test and readiness.
Who is exempt
- Personal accounts created before 13 November 2023.
- Organization accounts, whatever their age.
Running it yourself
- Internal testing does not count; it has to be the closed track.
- What counts is 12 people opted in for the 14 days before you apply; drop-outs can leave you short.
- Answer the application questions honestly about the test and the feedback.
When an aged account is worth it
The official transfer itself takes at least 7 days, so the gain is not every day of the 14. It is skipping the hunt for 12 real testers, or getting an organization identity or history. If you are not in a hurry and can find testers, a new account of your own is cheaper.
